WHAT'S NEW

NEW BOOK
We’d like to kick off our re-vitalised “What’s New” Feature with a plug for a brilliant new Tuners’ and Technicians’ manual entitled:

FUNDAMENTAL NOTES FOR PIANO TECHNICIANS BY Trevor Foulcher.

This book, which runs to some 140 pages, is essentially a revised edition of the course notes used by Trevor when he was running the NSW Conservatorium course for piano tuners, and is fondly remembered by ex-students for its comprehensiveness and accessibility.

Professionally edited and type-set by Nick Croft and Carolyn Johns, and attractively printed and bound, this book covers every aspect of tuning theory and practice, as well as regulation, hammer voicing and fundamental repairs. It is a wonderful reference for any tuner/technician or student, or anyone seeking a deeper appreciation of the piano and its mysteries.

We are now stocking this book (our Part No. 16-160). Selling for $60-00 plus GST and postage, each sale will also help the Guild, which supported and encouraged Nick and Carolyn in bringing this book to publication.
